We discovered Soulard Spice Shop while our daughter was a graduate student at the Olin School of Business in St. Louis 25 years ago. Always on the lookout for interesting foods and spices, we tried the Montreal Steak Seasoning and immediately fell in love with it. When we ran out we tried a commercial version, which turned out to be 80% salt and 20% spices. Yuck! Thankfully, we found that we could order it (first via phone, then online) and have used it ever since. In fact, we frequently make gifts of it to our family and friends. Many years ago when our daughter was a grad student at the Olin School of business, and on a visit to St Louis, we stopped by your shop and bought your Montreal Steak Seasoning. Since then, we're converts, and have shared it with several people. One, our son-in-law, had an interesting comment recently. He said "Deacon (our younger grandson) was bragging to his friends on how special my grilled burgers were. A few days ago I grilled some for them, but had run of the spice mix you give us and bought the poor substitute available locally. This time, he was not impressed and let me know it!"
Coming from an 11-year-old, that's high praise! Needless to say, we recently ordered 2 pounds more of that elixir and our son-in-law has been restocked!

I first bought your Montreal Steak Seasoning on a visit to St. Louis 20 years ago when our daughter was in graduate school at Wash. U. When I ran out I bought another brand. Tasted it, and threw it out! There's nothing that comes close to your product! I've been ordering it from you since then, first by phone, now online. Keep up the great work!
